Meet Our Staff

Marty Snider - Executive Producer

Marty is the founder of Marty Snider & Associates, but he is perhaps best known for being an on-air network television sports reporter for NBC and TNT. Snider has been in network television since 1994, and he brings that unique perspective and unparalleled experience to every project MSA does. From being critically acclaimed for his interview skills to being tabbed "the most media savvy person we have ever worked with" by multiple clients, Snider helps mold and shape the vision that keeps MSA always on the cutting edge of the ever-changing media landscape.

Snider has been a network television pit reporter since 1998 and has won six network Emmy awards as part of various NBC and TNT broadcast teams. Snider was also awarded "Pit Reporter of the Year" in 2007 by NASCAR.com as part of their Fan Vote contest.

On the TNT side of things, Snider covers NASCAR and the NBA, where he regularly teams with Hall of Fame broadcasters Marv Albert and Dick Stockton. Snider is an integral part of Turner Sports-owned NASCAR.com, where he serves as the host of "The Preview Show Delivered by FedEx Racing," each week. Snider also serves as NASCAR.com's "NASCAR Insider," holding chats on-line throughout the NASCAR season.

For NBC, Snider serves as a reporter for the NFL pre-game show, "Football Night in America," with hosts Bob Costas, Keith Olberman and Dan Patrick. Snider is also a field reporter for NBC's Olympic coverage, professional bull riding, and the network's coverage of off-road and open wheel racing.

Snider also has a continuing relationship with HBO where he serves as Motorsports Consultant. The HBO partnership began when Snider co-produced and consulted on the Emmy Award winning series “Jimmie Johnson 24/7,” in 2010.

Snider started his broadcasting career in Greensboro, NC, at FOX affiliate WGHP-TV, where he served as an intern and eventually wound up on the air before the end of his senior year in college. He then moved to NBC affiliated WYFF-TV in Greenville, SC, before making the rare jump from local TV to network TV in 1994, when he was tabbed by ESPN to serve as associate producer and on-air reporter for the show “NASCAR Today.” Snider has also co-hosted his own radio show, "The Morning Drive," on Sirius Satellite Radio's NASCAR channel.

Marty was raised in High Point, NC, and earned a degree in Political Science from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. He lives in Charlotte with his wife, Andrea, and their three children: Myatt, Jillian and Emmitt.

Marty is often maligned for his college team fandom. Despite having graduated from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, he is a rabid fan of the University of North Carolina Tar Heels, while also rooting for other ACC teams--even Duke. Confused? So is the rest of America.

Sean O'Donnell - Director of Production

Sean has served as a producer and director at MSA for over a decade. As an integral part of MSA, he has helped to create and develop strong relationships with our clients. He takes our projects from script to screen and is responsible for maintaining and expanding the MSA infrastructure and daily operations. Through his knowledge of every level of professional video production and his project involvement, he enables our team to deliver a stylized editing touch to each video production. Sean has handled the video marketing campaigns for several of our Fortune 500 clients and works closely with Joe Gibbs Racing on their marketing video campaigns as well as Fed Ex across their many platforms including their NASCAR, Golf and NFL programs as well as helping spearhead the video production on the new FedEx Rewards program.

Sean was born just outside of Philadelphia, PA. He graduated from University of North Carolina at Charlotte with degrees in Secondary Education and English. He formerly worked as Operations Manager for the child safety manufacturer, Koala Corporation. He resides in South Charlotte with his wife, Julie and their daughter, Riley.

Sean is a huge Philadelphia Eagles fan and has just been crowned the "World's Largest Bandwagon Fan" after dropping the Philadelphia Phillies for two decades of below par performance, just to jump back on the ride as they made it to the World Series last year.

Emily McCarty - Director of Media Services

Emily has been in the television production business for over a decade working in live sports event broadcasts, local and national news coverage, corporate video production, and creating marketing tools for image campaigns and sales. She has worked in projects with NASCAR, ESPN, NBC Sports, CBS News, and ABC in football, basketball, racing, and breaking news coverage. She has been recognized with several Telly awards, and one local Emmy nomination.

Emily was born in Charleston, WV and graduated from West Virginia University with a bachelor's degree in Broadcast Journalism and a Master's in Integrated Marketing Communications. She has been a Production Manager at NASCAR, and served as Executive Producer for West Virginia Media.

Emily is a proud WVU Mountaineer fan, even if they lose a bowl game or crush everyone's hopes of making any money on their NCAA brackets. She is an Olympic Swimmer, Goalie for the local semi-pro hockey team, and has won the US National Hot Dog Eating Championship three years in a row.

Not really, but wouldn't that be cool?

Toni Snider

Toni was born and raised in High Point, NC. In 1972, she packed her bags and traveled north on I-85 to Chapel Hill, where she attended college, got married, raised a family and spent 34 years working for the UNC School of Medicine. During her career at UNC, Toni served 15 years as administrative manager for the Neuroscience Center, spent five years as controller for the medical school, and worked nine years as clinical and academic administrator for the Department of Psychiatry.

On June 30th this year, Toni retired from her position as Associate Chair for Administration in Psychiatry. Once again, she packed her bags and traveled on I-85, this time heading south to Charlotte, where she accepted the position as Director of Business Operations for MSA.

Toni brings to MSA extensive financial, human resources and administrative management experience. She is a seasoned contract and grant administrator, having worked directly with federal, state and municipal agencies, for-profit corporations and non-profit philanthropic organizations. Toni has overseen annual budgets as high as $500 million. Her expertise in developing business systems and procedures provides MSA with a level of financial oversight that is extremely rare for a company of this size. As an added bonus, Toni received her undergraduate degree in Journalism from UNC-Chapel Hill, which increases the level of expertise available at MSA for scriptwriting and proposal preparation.

Toni lives close to South Carolina with her daughter, Stephanie, an Appalachian State grad who is attending Mercy School of Nursing. Toni says she is looking forward to becoming the world’s first non-meddlesome mother-in-law when her fabulous son, Brian, marries his lovely fiancée, Leah (also a Carolina grad) next July, and she is hoping to be selected as a supernumerary—look that up in your Funk and Wagnall, Marty—for Opera Carolina. When she is not working, Toni can be found zigging when she should be zagging during Zumba classes at the Y; hanging out with Myatt, Jillian and Emmitt, and working to improve her dog training skills. “Sit, Grover!”
