Marty is the founder of Marty Snider & Associates, but he is perhaps best known for being an on-air network television sports reporter for NBC and Turner Sports. Snider has been in network television since 1994, and he brings that unique perspective and unparalleled experience to every project MSA does. From being critically acclaimed for his interview skills to being tabbed "the most media savvy person in the corporate production business" by multiple clients, Snider helps mold and shape the vision that keeps MSA always on the cutting edge of the ever-changing media landscape.
Snider has been a network television sports reporter since 1998 and has won eight network Emmy awards, as part of various NBC and Turner broadcast teams. Snider was awarded "Pit Reporter of the Year" in 2007 by NASCAR.com as part of their Fan Vote contest.
Snider serves as a reporter for NBC Sports coverage of NASCAR, IndyCar, Olympics, Rugby 7's, US Army All-American Bowl and the North American International Auto Show. He is also a regular host and reporter for the NBCSN show, NASCAR America.
For Turner Sports, Snider is a veteran NBA sideline reporter, as well as covering several NCAA Men's Basketball Tournaments. Snider regularly teams with Broadcasting Hall of Famer Marv Albert as well as play-by-play man Kevin Harlin and Pro Basketball Hall of Famer, analyst Reggie Miller.
Snider also has a continuing relationship with HBO where he serves as Motorsports Consultant. The HBO partnership began when Snider co-produced and consulted on the Emmy Award winning series "Jimmie Johnson 24/7," in 2010.
Snider started his broadcasting career in Greensboro, NC, at FOX affiliate WGHP-TV, where he served as an intern and eventually wound up on the air before the end of his senior year in college. He then moved to NBC affiliated WYFF-TV in Greenville, SC, before making the rare jump from local TV to network TV in 1994, when he was tabbed by ESPN to serve as associate producer and on-air reporter for the show "NASCAR Today." Snider also co-hosted his own radio show, "The Morning Drive," on Sirius Satellite Radio's NASCAR channel.
Marty was raised in High Point, NC, and earned a degree in Political Science from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. He lives in Charlotte with his wife, Andrea, and their three children: Myatt, Jillian and Emmitt.
Marty is often maligned for his college team fandom. Despite having graduated from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, he is a rabid fan of the University of North Carolina Tar Heels, while also rooting for other ACC teams--even Duke. Confused? So is the rest of America.
